Manatees are gentle, vegetarian creatures that pose no threat to people.
But this girl doesn’t know that.
It was probably futile to give the girl a quick lesson on the docile nature of the gentle giants of the sea while she was screaming bloody murder. But her hysterical cries and cursing seemed to be entertaining enough for a friend to keep recording.
Even the manatee circled back around a few times, perhaps to check on her and make sure she was OK.
Physically she was fine. But emotionally?
That’s another story.
