Bobby Jindal considers ‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Willie Robertson as a running mate — there’s just one problem

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal hasn’t made an official announcement yet about a potential run for the GOP presidential nomination, but he has already made clear one man he’d consider as a running mate:

Duck Dynasty’s” hirsute Willie Robertson, reality TV star and CEO of the Duck Commander company.

The question got put to Jindal at a Good Friday prayer breakfast in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, birthplace of many a successful national campaign. Jindal just wanted to be clear about who was on the top spot.

“As a running mate? Sure, but as vice president—I assume that’s what you’re asking—not the other way around,” Jindal said, according Bloomberg. “He’s a great guy, I think he’d be a great running mate. It’d be a huge pay cut for him, so I’m not sure he’d be willing to do it.”

Jindal and the Robertsons are famous friends — Jindal defended “Duck Dynasty” patriarch Phil Robertson during the 2013 controversy over Robertson’s remarks about homosexuals to GQ magazine — so the governor’s announcement isn’t a complete surprise.

He might want to check the Constitution first, though. Presidents and vice presidents can’t come from the same state.

Here’s a video of Jindal presenting Willie Robertson an award for business excellence last year.
