O’Reilly: ‘I think I trust Iran more than I trust the American press’

No stranger to making controversial comments, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly said Monday he distrusts the American media so much that he might find Iran more trustworthy.

The fiery host — a member of the media himself — was speaking to fellow Fox News host Britt Hume on “The O’Reilly Factor” Monday when he made the contentious statement.

“I don’t trust the press. I think I trust Iran more than I trust the American press,” O’Reilly said, referring to upcoming congressional debate over President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran. “I don’t want the American press interpreting this for me.

“I want to see it in the committee hearings on television,” he added. “I want to see the debate.”

Knowing how bad Obama wants the deal to go through, and the media’s constant championing of his causes, O’Reilly has a valid point.
