A customer at a popular Tennessee eatery got more than she bargained and paid for when she received her fried oysters this week — pearls.
The woman had already taken a bite of the generous morsel when she felt something in her mouth, according to Nashville’s NBC affiliate, WSMV Channel 4 News.
At first, she pulled out just one pearl — then two, three. They just kept coming
In all, the customer found 50 pearls in her fried food.
“It happens sometimes, every once in a while,” restaurant server Eric Horton told the station. “However, this young lady continued to pull pearls out of her mouth, and the only thing we were missing was a string because she found 50 pearls in this one oyster.”
What’s more surprising is that 50 pearls in a single oyster isn’t even close to the record of 86 pearls, according to WSMV.
The customer took the pearls home, no doubt in search of a string.
