CNN host asks unbelievable question: ‘Hasn’t Bowe Bergdahl suffered enough?’

CNN host, Brooke Baldwin asked a guest panelist Wednesday the kind of question that continues to tank their ratings when she probed whether Bowe Bergdahl hadn’t already suffered enough punishment.

Baldwin’s question to Special Forces veteran Scott Mann, comes after the U.S. Army charged Bergdahl with desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.

“Col. Mann, you have those … on the opposite end vilifying him. Again, this is someone who was held, you know, for five years by terrorists. Is that not – this is what some say – is that not punishment enough?” Baldwin asked.

Bergdahl was famously released from Taliban captivity when he was traded by the Obama administration in exchange for five Gitmo terrorists. Those terrorists have reportedly been trying to reengage in enemy activity since returning to the Middle East.

Six soldiers were killed trying to rescue Bergdahl while he was with the Taliban and more were injured.

Naturally, Mann did not agree that Bergdahl has paid the price for his treasonous act.

“Well, no … if he is found guilty of desertion,” he said.

Mann reminded the host that the court process must be allowed to “play out” and that the Bergdahl’s case must not overshadow the men and women still fighting in Afghanistan, which he stated is at a “critical juncture right now.”

Folks on Twitter who’ve long suspected Bergdahl a traitor and have been outraged by the Gitmo swap since the beginning, have already made up their minds about Bergdahl.
