FEMA to punish states, withhold funds if governors don’t believe in climate change

The Obama administration is taking its authoritarian power to an ominous level with new guidelines that could ultimately punish victims of natural disasters if their state governors are not in compliance with the administration’s policies on global warming.

New rules by the Federal Emergency Management Agency are constructed to make it nearly impossible for governors to deny man-made climate change, according to Inside Climate News.

As of March 2016, governors seeking money to prepare for potential weather related disasters will be required to assess how climate change threatens their communities – even if they don’t agree that it does – before they will be granted funding.

In other words, if a governor doesn’t adopt plans to reduce the effects of man-made global warming – as Obama’s FEMA defines it – the state will no longer get disaster preparedness money.

American citizens are being held hostage by the global-warming fear mongers.

The spin has already begun to place the onus of the new rules on the governors.

“If a state has a climate denier governor that doesn’t want to accept a plan, that would risk mitigation work not getting done because of politics,” said Becky Hammer, an attorney with the Natural Resource Defense Council’s water program.

“The governor would be increasing the risk to citizens in that state,” she said.

Governors would be increasing the risk to citizens? Wouldn’t it be the Obama administration putting citizens at risk for taking a totalitarian stance to intimidate governors into submission?

FEMA’s disaster preparedness program has been granting money to states since the 1980s, according to Inside Climate News.

But all that is changing under this administration.

While the new policy will not affect emergency relief funding for any state, it will make it harder for “climate denying” governors like Rick Scott of Florida, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, and Chris Christie of New Jersey to prepare for inevitable weather related disasters ahead of time.

Unless of course, they submit.
