For a teachers’ union -funded leftist group in Wisconsin last week, the lesson was clear:
“All cops are bastards.”
That was the message screaming from a banner carried by radicals associated with Wisconsin Jobs Now during an anti-cop demonstration in Madison that claimed to be protesting the killing of an unarmed man by police during a struggle inside an apartment.
What a police shooting in Madison has to do with jobs in the rest of Wisconsin isn’t real clear, but In the “hands up, don’t shoot” era, police brutality demonstrations have long since stopped having anything to do with police brutality, just like teachers’ unions have long since stopped having anything to do with teaching.
And it turns out, according to EAG News, that Wisconsin Jobs now is heavily funded by the National Education Association, the country’s largest teachers union and an unflagging supporter of President Obama and the Democrat Party.
In an interview with the Daily Caller, a Wisconsin Jobs Now spokeswoman denied the banner carriers had anything to do with her group.
“None of our members brought it to the event. It was, in fact, brought by individuals unaffiliated with us, and those individuals were asked to remove that sign from the action so that our message wouldn’t be compromised,” Lucas said.
Video footage of the event posted by EAG News shows Wisconsin Jobs Now marchers by the hundreds joining in mindless chants like “hey, hey, ho, ho, racists cops have got to go” and “no justice, no peace, no racist police.”
Is “All cops are bastards” that far of a stretch?
