Police release dramatic body-cam footage of baby’s rescue from icy river

The latest viral footage caught by a police officer’s body camera had nothing to do with police brutality, or public lawlessness. Rather, in a refreshing change of pace, the video captured the heart-stopping moment when an 18-month-old girl was rescued from her mother’s car, which had landed upside down in a creek.

Lily Groesbeck was trapped in the icy river and strapped in her car seat for 14 hours in Spanish Fork, Utah, before rescue workers arrived to free her, according to CBS News.

The video shows rescuers flipping the car onto its wheels and pulling an unconscious Lily from the wreckage. The heroes then passed the baby from one rescuer to another until getting her into the waiting ambulance.
