Holy hell Rick Scott. If you keep denying climate change there will be no more Miami. Then what will Will Smith rap about?

A report published by the Miami Herald on Sunday accusing Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s administration of banning the use of the words “climate change” or “global warming” lit up the Internet and excited Florida liberals still smarting over Scott’s re-election in November. It was also picked up news outlets with a liberal bent – like Huffington Post and Newsweek.
But it’s got one problem.
“First off, it’s not true,” Scott told reporters Monday, according to Politico. Scott wasn’t saying “global warming” isn’t true, or that “climate change” isn’t true. He was talking about the report by the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting, that turns mainly on the claims of an attorney who worked for the state Department of Environmental Protection before getting fired in 2013. As The Federalist points out,
A search of the Florida DEP web site for the term “global warming” yields, according to the site, 244 results. And, according to the site, another 1,640 for “climate change.” Take this page, most recently updated on October 6, 2014. The page is titled “About Air.” In a section on the “Greenhouse Effect,” we’re told: Global climate change, sometimes referred to as global warming, occurs when the amounts of carbon dioxide and other such gases in the atmosphere increase beyond natural levels, thereby intensifying the greenhouse effect. Increased carbon dioxide levels can result from human activities such as the burning of coal, oil and gas and the clearing of forests without replanting. The following web sites offer additional information on climate change issues: And then ten web sites are listed under “climate change resources.” Here’s a glossary for kids that lists “global warming” under the letter “g.” Here’s a page on coral reefs and, uh, anthropogenic causes of environmental problems. This ban is pretty intense.
In the news conference Monday, Scott tried to stick with the actions the state is really taking. “Here’s what we’re dealing with: We’re dealing with the problems of Florida,” Scott replied. “We’re dealing with beach re-nourishment, flood mitigation, dealing with making sure we push water south [through the Everglades], we have the right storage things for the Everglades. We’re dealing with all these things.”
Dealing with things.
“As you know, I’m focused on solutions,” Scott said.
That’s one reason the libs hate him.
