A Northeast Ohio man was arrested after calling 911 Wednesday night to complain that his wife had stolen his cocaine stash.
“[Daniel Collins, 39] called 911 because he claimed that his wife stole his cocaine,” jail records said, according to United Press International.
Police responded with an arrest — but not for the caller’s wife. They arrested Collins on an outstanding warrant for failure to pay fines and costs on a previous matter, plus possession of a glass pipe he admitted using for smoking marijuana.
UPI reported:
Collins was taken to the Stark County Jail on misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and misuse of 911. He could face up to 60 days in jail and $500 in fines if convicted on the charges.
The suspect was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
He still owes a $25 fine and $589 on the previous case — speeding and driving on a suspended license.
