A Hollywood abomination has been underway since E! Network host Giuliana Rancic made a “politically incorrect” statement on the show “Fashion Police.”
Rancic was co-hosting the show that is famous for making fun of Hollywood stars for what they wear around town and on the red carpet. Hosts do take time to dish out compliments, but the show’s edge comes from the zingers and insults aimed at California’s one percent.
Joan Rivers was the ‘Queen Bee’ of Fashion Police and no one could dole out the verbal jabs quite like she could – and co-host Rancic got burned when she tried.
Rancic took a swipe at Zendaya, a young starlet famous for singing and acting. The beautiful star had been wearing her hair in dreadlocks. And that apparently didn’t sit well with Rancic’s sense of style.
During the show, Rancic mentioned that Zendaya’s look suggested the smell of “patchouli oil” or “weed.”
Apparently, in a long list of critiques on “Fashion Police” that border on verbal abuse, this was the one that sent politically correct watching fans soaring over the edge.
Kelly Osbourne, co-host of “Fashion Police” took to Twitter to express her outrage and threatened to quit the show.
you guys do realize that @Zendaya is my friend right?

— Kelly Osbourne (@KellyOsbourne) February 24, 2015
And accusations of racism came flying in from fans everywhere.
It’s very disturbing what people are saying about Zendaya just because of her HAIR. Pure judgment off stereotypes and images. This is 2015. — Renato Mazariegos (@RPMSports18) February 24, 2015
I HATE Guliana Rancic. So what if Zendaya wants locks. People made fun of you for being too skinny.Who are you to judge regardless #ignorant

Once #guilianarancic eats 600 cheeseburgers then she can criticize #zendayahair — amelsm (@amelsmsm) February 26, 2015
Are you going to address @gulianarancic racist comments or is this the type of behavior you promote and accept on your network? @ENews
— yungWILD. (@YungWildNEE) February 24, 2015
#guilianarancic said it, but everyone on @ENews laughed at the bigoted comment, they are all to blame. Racism is not funny. #FashionPolice — Chrystina (@ChrystinaElaine) February 24, 2015
This woman is so appalled she’s swearing off E! News. Oh my, she might actually have to start watching real news…
So over #guilianarancic after her ignorant comment about #Zendaya Her apology was BS and a 2nd insult. Done with Fashion Police and E! News

Political correctness has run amok, especially with younger generations who have no clue it’s little more than a social engineering tool used to control the masses. Just look at the ‘free speech zones’ popping up on college campuses – most kids think nothing of it.
Rancic fell into the trap and made a series of apologies over the incident to try and rectify the situation and appease the offended mob.
One of the most famous dreadlock wearing people of all time, Whoopi Golberg, capitalized on the situation and put herself in the self-righteous seat as soon as the ‘story’ broke.
Goldberg should heed a warning from fellow comedian, Chris Rock who said he will no longer perform on college campuses because their “willingness not to offend anybody” has become so extreme.
Instead, “The View” host got on her high-horse to put Rancic on ‘notice’ and told her exactly how she needs to apologize.
This kind of overblown reaction and speech policing is the very thing that is ruining the comedic business and society at large. It’s a dangerous thing to set up a culture with a generation of people that can’t laugh at themselves, take a joke, or speak honestly because it might offend someone.
Chances are pretty great that Rancic is not in any way racist – and everyone who watches the show probably knows it. She’s just the latest victim of the politically correct movement perpetuated by the industry she works in.
For all we know Rancic had visions of Caucasian hippies dancing around at Woodstock when she made the comment.
And who’s speaking out for them, huh?
Hippies everywhere should be outraged.
