A police dashcam of a house exploding in Ocean County, N.J., was released Tuesday and the sight is incredible.
Police responded to a call for an odor inspection about 90 minutes before the explosion occurred, Stafford Township Police Capt. Tom Dellane told NBC Philadelphia.
The explosion reportedly homes in all directions, according to the station.
“My windows blew out of my house, and I dropped, and I covered my daughter, because she was next to me,” said Melissa Lewis, a Stafford Township resident.
“I stood up, and I heard them screaming outside, and there were people being taken to the ambulance.
“I saw pieces of house floating all over my yard,” she added. “The insulation was all over the place and you could see the ambulances and people running around and there were big flames coming from the house.”
“The house has been disintegrated,” Stafford Mayor John Spodofora said.
Officials confirmed the cause was a gas leak and 75 homes had to be evacuated.
According to NBC Philadelphia, 15 people were injured including six gas workers, one of whom required CPR at the scene. He and another worker were listed in critical condition, the station reported.
