Report: Wasserman Schultz prepared a dirty campaign against Obama if he tried to oust her as DNC chair

Was Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz preparing to unleash a torrent of vindictiveness upon President Barack Obama in recent years?

A statement buried within a recent Politico article seems to indicate that.

Near the end of the Politico report outlining Wasserman Schultz’s future plans — including a possible run for the U.S. Senate in 2016 or co-charing a Hillary for President campaign — was a statement, attributed to unnamed sources, about retaining her position as Democratic National Committee chairwoman:

“Wasserman Schultz has a different sense of herself. According to people who spoke with her, when she sensed Obama was considering replacing her as chair in 2013, she began to line up supporters to suggest the move was both anti-woman and anti-Semitic.”

The report was, overall, critical of Wasserman Schultz, and referred to a tendency to “pursue an independent agenda” and to “misspeak.” She’s also known for her acute abrasiveness.

It’s her “tendency to misspeak” that has gotten her into hot water more than once by making statements she couldn’t back up. Even uber-liberal talk show host/comedian Bill Maher once chided her, “You’re lying, Debbie.”
