Ann Coulter scores on Obama: Giuliani was right, the Dems are wrong, and here’s why

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and the Republican Party have nothing to apologize for when it comes to the controversy generated by Giuliani’s statement last week that President Obama doesn’t love America.

And Republicans are making the wrong argument in response to the media flap, conservative columnist Ann Coulter argued on “Fox & Friends” Saturday..

Giuliani’s critics “keep saying ‘how can you see into [Obama’s] heart?’” Coulter told the gang at “Fox & Friends Weekend.” “Gosh, they sure call us racist a lot! Can they see into our hearts?”

She wondered how they could make an assessment like that about the GOP. “Because we want to cut taxes?” she asked.

Then she listed reasons one can conclude Obama lacks a love of country, including his rejection of American exceptionalism and his attorney general’s reference to America as “a nation of cowards.”

Co-host Tucker Carlson asked whether Giuliani’s remarks, even if true, were politically wise. Coulter rejected that notion.

“I don’t think they like having it pointed out that they don’t seem to really like America,” she said. “So why shouldn’t we point it out?”

She later succinctly summed her feelings up.

“Truth is its own reward.”
