Conservative news publisher Matt Drudge tweeted a photo of Saturday’s New York Daily News cover on controversial statements former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani made earlier this week, using a one-word description.

Giuliani told a dinner crowd Wednesday that he didn’t believe President Barack Obama loves America or Americans. When Fox News host Megyn Kelly gave him the chance to apologize Thursday, the former mayor doubled down on his comments instead, saying Obama was raised as a communist.
“The American,” the Daily News cover said, revving up the Giuliani-Obama controversy, plays off the FX original series, “The Americans,” about married KGB agents posing as Americans in suburban Washington, D.C., during the early 1980s.
As one tweeter put it, “That’s gonna leave a mark.”
Shortly after Drudge tweeted a photo of the cover, the rest of Twitter picked up on it.
LOVE it! @DRUDGE
