Obama treats Islam as if it’s ‘above all criticism,’ Ralph Peters tells Fox

President Obama’s inaction against terrorism is an inspiration to this who want to attack the West, according to Lt. Col. Ralph Peters told Fox News on Sunday.

“When it comes to being president Obama clearly likes the perch he just doesn’t like the hard work,” the conservative author and columnist told Tucker Carlson on “Fox and Friends.”

“The only religion this president is willing to come out and publicly defend is Islam. He clearly romanticizes Islam and treats it as if Islam is above all criticism.”

Peters called Saturday’s assault on a synagogue in Copenhagen “attacks on fundamental principles of Western civilization, freedom of expression and religious tolerance.”

“What does Obama do? What do his minions do? What does the American left do? They flip it around and say, ‘No, no, no,’” Peters said. “Attack on the synagogue? That doesn’t count. The only religious intolerance is intolerance of Islam.”

Peters blamed the pervading climate of political correctness for aiding the terrorists’ campaign of violence.

“We’ve got this problem where everybody on the left in the United States romanticizes Islam. They’re always scolding us, ‘Beware of Islamophobia, you can’t indulge in Islamophobia,’” he said. “We do not have an Islamophobia problem in the United States, we have an Islamophilia problem which places Islam above all criticism. And until we hold Islam to the same standards as every other religion, ethically and behaviorally, terrorism wins.”

That won’t happen until there’s a new president in the White House — one who doesn’t put Islam “above all criticism.”
