Americans have known for some time that President Obama is a poor student of U.S. history — 57 states, claiming the U.S. motto is “E Pluribus Unum” instead of “In God We Trust” are but a few examples.
His remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast last week, in which he said Christians should “get off [their] high horse” and stop condemning radical Islam because “during the Crusades … people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ,” should be a wake-up call that he’s a lousy student of world history also.
Apart from the fact that the Crusades took place centuries ago, while atrocities committed in the name of Islam still occur every day, there’s a huge difference between the Crusades and jihad the president should be aware of.
Author Bill Warner, PhD, created what he calls a “dynamic battle map” comparing Islamic battles with those of the Crusades.
The results are revealing to those who care about history — and the truth.
