‘IDIOT ALERT’: Sharpton calls Ferguson protesters ‘Pimps and Hoes!’

Race hustler Al Sharpton exploded on his own base referring to them as “pimps,” “hoes” and comparing them to “Willie Lynch” during an address Sunday to office staff at his National Action Network Harlem headquarters, according to Capital New York.

Sharpton’s main problem appears to be the fact that the new generation of protesters doesn’t want him anywhere near them.

“They are pimping you,” Sharpton said.

He told his audience Sunday about a protest march he led in Missouri last year where younger activists demanded to speak.

Sharpton said he consented, but clearly he is still angry about it.

“I’ve been meeting with them and talking with them since. And they were told, ‘Your problem is Al Sharpton and the other guys,'” he told the crowd.

“Any time you have movements, whether it’s in Ferguson, whether it’s in New York, whether it’s in Denver, wherever it is, when they got you more angry at your parents than they got you at the vote you’re supposed to be out there for, you’re being tricked and you’re trying to turn the community into tricks. And they are pimping you, to do the Willie Lynch in our community.”

(The “Willie Lynch” reference stems from a letter purportedly from colonial Virginia — but likely a 20th century forgery — in which a white slave owner advises fellow slave owners to control the slave population by keeping them divided on the basis of complexion, age or status on the plantation, among other characteristics.)

Sharpton added that the “trick” — presumably of “the man” — is to divide the protesters who are marching for the same cause.

“They got y’all arguing about old or young in Ferguson, they running an election and y’all ain’t got a candidate in the race,” he added.

“Cause you’re busy arguing with your mommy and daddy when they re-electing a mayor, and re-electing a prosecutor. They got you arguing about who going to lead a march, the old or the young, when they cutting up the city budget. You can’t be that stupid!”

Sharpton then made the reference comparing the young protesters to “pimps” and “hoes.”

“It’s the disconnect that is the strategy to break the movement. And they play on your ego. ‘Oh, you young and hip, you’re full of fire. You’re the new face.’ All the stuff that they know will titillate your ears. That’s what a pimp says to a ho,” Sharpton said.

The Twitterverse chimed in to express their disdain, with one even proclaiming an “Idiot Alert” for the aging agitator.
