One outraged woman got 21st century revenge against the man she accused of molesting her during a recent flight from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar.
In a region where women are still often subjugated to second class citizenship, the young woman tried to expose some inappropriate behavior by a male passenger with modern day technology.
“Guess what happened in the flight yesterday! This man on the seat behind mine, put his fingers in the seat gap to touch me!!! I was very shocked for some time to react. By then the flight went to landing mode. Then the moment flight touched down, I got up. Saw his hand was again on the side ready to take up an opportunity to touch me!!!” she wrote on her Facebook page, according to Buzzlaundry.com.
That’s when the women turned around and began to video record the unidentified man.
The actual inappropriate act itself was not caught on camera, but the passion of the woman’s reaction suggests she was very upset and fed up with the way women in the region have been treated in general.
With the seemingly remorseful man’s head in his hands she harangues him with questions.
“What forgiveness are you asking for? …Why? Because I’m a girl? And you have the right to touch me, anytime, anywhere you want to? … I’m sorry that I am a girl, please, forgive me!
“I will call the security, I will make sure I make a complaint.”
After leaving the plane, the woman begins to record the man again inside the airport.
“Why did you do that? Did you think I’d keep quiet? ” she asked.
The man doesn’t outwardly answer her questions, but claimed he had made a big mistake. It is soon revealed that he is a father of a girl.
“I pity that girl,” she said. “You decide the action. I will decide the reaction.”
“Can’t believe the ordeal I had to go through but being silent is a crime! … The man is under police custody currently. Happy that he is behind bars! Has been charged on section 354A for sexual advancements against a girl!” her Facebook post said, according to buzzlaundry.com.
