A Russian newscaster’s one-finger expression to go with pronouncing “President Barack Obama” got the woman fired from her job, even though she told her bosses she wasn’t aware she was on camera in front of 120 million viewers at the time.
The woman, Tatyana Limanova, said she thought she was recording a voice over and directed the gesture at studio technicians who were heckling her.
The incident took place in November 2011, but some humor is timeless.
