Incredible story behind photo of guy pinned between 2 semi-trucks

Wicked weather caused a 26-vehicle accident in Oregon this weekend and one man is thanking God for his survival.

Kaleb Whitby gave his account on “Fox & Friends” Monday of his experience in the accident of driving his Chevy Silverado and being smashed like a can of sardines between two semi-trucks leaving him trapped inside.

Whitby said he noticed a jackknifed tractor trailer in front of him and knew he couldn’t stop in time so he aimed for the trailer, flipping his car around with his passenger side facing oncoming traffic.

The move may have saved his life.

“The next thing I know, I look out my back window and I see the lights of a semi-truck barreling down on me,” he told the hosts.

Knowing an impact was coming, Whitby said he started thinking about his wife and son at home and began saying his prayers.

“I closed my eyes and held on to that wheel as tight as I could,” Whitby said. “I said my prayers, because what can you do in a situation like that where you have absolutely no control?

“All I could think about was my wife and my son and just hoping that it wasn’t my time and praying that I’d be able to get through it,” he added.

When he was rescued from his car about 30 minutes later, he walked away with some minor scrapes and bruises and required only two Band-Aids.

There’s something to be said for the power of prayer.
