‘We are not the barbarians, they are!’ Conservative editor schools ISIS-sympathizing Harvard students

According to students at Harvard University, America poses a bigger threat to the world than Islamic State militants.

Campus Reform visited the Ivy League school recently and asked, “What is a bigger threat to world peace: America or ISIS?”

Surprising or not, the responses often mimicked what you’d expect to hear from radical liberal professors — not only do Harvard students think America is more dangerous, they blame Uncle Sam for the existence of Islamic extremist groups.

Is anyone surprised this is President Obama’s alma mater?

“American imperialism and our protection of oil interests in the Middle East are destabilizing the region and allowing groups like ISIS to gain power,” a student answered.

“As a Western civilization we’re to blame for a lot of the problems that we’re facing now,” another said. “I don’t think anyone would argue that we didn’t create the problem of ISIS, ourselves.”

Actually, a lot of people would.

Campus Reform editor-in-chief Caleb Bonham appeared Sunday on “Fox and Friends Weekend” and said the video responses are part of an alarming trend of faux intellectuals on college campuses who suggest that Western intervention in the Middle East is responsible for terrorism.

“They’re trying to appear to be intellectual when they claim that America is a greater threat to world peace,” he said.

“America is fighting to liberate people, to bring world peace and to fight for justice,” Bonham added, while describing the behavior of Islamic extremists. “We are not the barbarians here, they are.”
