Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., offered sound advice for Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, after she announced on Thursday that she was chosen to deliver the GOP response to President Obama’s State of the Union address Tuesday.
“I am truly honored to announce that I will be delivering the Republican Address to the country following the President’s #SOTU address,” she said on Facebook. “It’s a long way from Red Oak to Washington, but now that I am here, I am excited to get to work to craft and implement real solutions as we chart a new path forward for our great nation.”
Rubio, who famously delivered the 2013 GOP address with a water bottle that made history, gave this advice to Ernst:
