A would-be robber picked the wrong pizza delivery person to set-up.
Around 8PM on Jan 11. a female pizza delivery driver for Papa John’s was making a delivery to a home in DeKalb County when she was met by a man who acted like the delivery was for him.
The man pulled out a gun and forced the unnamed woman out of her car and onto the ground in an attempt to rob her, reported CBS 46.

But the surprise was on him as the driver had a gun of her own in her pocket.
The driver reached for her gun and shot the assailant Donquaz Stevenson, 24, in the face.
Although Papa Johns prohibits the carrying of weapons by their drivers the company said no disciplinary action would be forthcoming after a social media outcry of customers defending her.
Hey @PapaJohns Please don’t fire that lady for protecting herself! That’s the risk of delivering. Without them, you’re Little Caesars!

“The shooting that occurred during a Papa John’s delivery in Atlanta recently is a tragic event. The safety of Papa John’s employees is a top priority for our company,” a company spokesperson told CBS 46. “Company policy prohibits employees from utilizing firearms in the performance of their duties. We plan no changes to our current policy, which is designed to protect customers and employees. Upon investigation and considering the specific facts of the situation, we have reassigned the employee to work in the store and are offering her counseling to help her recuperate from the incident.”
