Comedian Bill Cosby was probably not a fan of the opening routine at the Golden Globes on Sunday.
True to form, hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler didn’t pull any punches.
Especially when they took a shot at Cosby for the growing sex scandal in which he has been accused by many women of drugging and sexually assaulting them.
The jokes stunned the Hollywood crowd, who responded with gasps and stunned faces.
The pair was discussing the film “Into The Woods” when Poehler took the first shot.
“In ‘Into The Woods,’ Cinderella runs from her prince, Rapunzel is thrown from a tower for her prince and Sleeping Beauty just thought she was getting coffee with Bill Cosby,” she joked.
Fey followed that by saying that Cosby admitted being guilty to a reporter as she broke out a less-than-convincing Cosby impersonation.
“I put the pills in the people,” she said. ‘The people did not want the pills in them.”
Poehler interrupted her co-host with her own, more accurate, impression.
“Thats not right,” she scolded “Its more like, ‘I got the pills in the bathrobe and I put em in the people.’”
This wasn’t the first time that Fey took aim at Cosby.
Nine years ago, when she hosted the “Weekend Update” segment on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” with none other than Poehler, she spoke of a Cosby accuser’s allegations.
“A California lawyer alleged Wednesday that 30 years ago Bill Cosby drugged her and tried to molest her,” she said followed by a Cosby impersonation.
“Cosby says he can’t be held responsible for his actions because at the time he was suffering from ‘the brain damage,’” she joked.
