A photo response to the hoodlums interrupting brunches from coast to coast this weekend has sparked serious tension and a lively CNN guest battle.
Some Americans were unable to enjoy their eggs, coffee and morning paper this weekend “because black lives matter” — but apparently everyone else’s don’t.
Like many others, former NYPD Officer John Cardillo wasn’t OK with protesters barging in to restaurants to disrupt brunch and the livelihood of private businesses.
CNN’s Don Lemon hosted a panel Monday night to debate the whole “Black Brunch” movement and Cardillo became a target for criticism.
Defending his actions, the fed-up former cop said that nobody was hurt by the photo of him pointing a gun and it was done to get people’s attention.
New York Times columnist Charles Blow was furious with the photo and let Cardillo have it.
