Another two NYPD officers shot in Bronx, manhunt underway

Two plain clothes officers were searching for armed robbery suspects in the Bronx Monday night when they approached two men for questioning, according to ABC 7 Eyewitness News.

One of the men entered a restaurant while the other stayed.

Moments later, the man in the in the restaurant re-emerged shooting at the cops.

The officers returned fire but were hit in the melee. One was in critical condition Monday night, the other was in stable condition, reported.

The gunmen carjacked a white Camaro and got away.

The vehicle was abandoned near Park Avenue and a black revolver was found nearby.

“We are currently investigating if the suspect who fired upon the officers was also involved in the prior robbery,” NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton said.

The New York Police Department has released surveillance video of one of the suspects.
