When in Rome…..
Selena Gomez visited a mosque in Abu Dhabi, with her friends before the end of 2014 and while taking a photo inside the mosque, apparently showed way too much of her ankles.
The mosque religious leaders are reportedly outraged because : 1) Selena’s exposed leg, and her sexy pose, because it’s about respect thing. 2) Mosque rules prohibit laughing and smiling, and is considered disrespectful according to TMZ.

According to the mosque’s official website, those who visit the place should wear “long, loose fitting, ankle length trousers or skies for women and men” and “women must wear a headscarf.”
Gomez was attending the mosque with friends including Kendall Jenner, Shay Mitchell, Cody Simpson and Gigi Hadid, according to photos and reports.

In another photo found on Gomez’s Instagram page, it appears her group is showing laughter and posing.

Gomez was also chastised by some of her Instagram followers for the move, according to Fox News.
“Disrespectful! It’s a religion place not a place to have fun it, so disappointed,” one comment read.
Another wrote: “’I like Selena Gomez but to have her do something like this makes me no longer a fan.”
Gomez didn’t comment on the controversy, choosing instead to delete one of the images while leaving the group shot up.
Last year, Rihanna had also visited the same mosque, but was immediately asked to leave after she posted snaps where was posing stylishly.
