10-man rescue saves horse that fell into a Florida sinkhole

The ground opened up and swallowed this old horse and it took a 10-man rescue crew to save him.

Last Friday, Nate, the 30-year-old nag was found stuck in a sinkhole in a pasture at TMMA Farms in Oxford, Fla. Only his head was visible above ground.

Maryann Mash, the owner of TMMA Farms, told ABC News, the “ground just collapsed under him.”

It took a team of 10 rescue workers more than two hours to get Nate back on his feet. Rescue workers had to dig out the ground that had filled in around him and then haul him back to the surface.

Nate’s doing very well, and he only suffered minor injuries.
