Video: Man arrested following Facebook threats to ‘kill police and innocent white kids’

Police have arrested a man for threatening to “kill cops and innocent white kids” on his Facebook page.

Aries Woodfin, 33, of Illinois was apprehended Friday after police searched his home and found a .45-caliber pistol, ammunition and a homemade shooting range in his basement, according to ABC 7 Chicago.

Home owner Beatrice Franklin said the gun belonged to her and that Woodfin wasn’t a threat.

“That gun that they found belonged to me,” she told ABC 7, noting that the is registered to own a gun in Illinois. “And I have paperwork stating that it’s mine. So no, it’s not his.

He was speaking his mind,” she added. “He was expressing how he felt, which is what everyone else was doing on Facebook as well, expressing themselves. They were ranting and they were raving.”

The “non-dangerous” Woodfin has a record that included weapons charges, aggravated assault, illegal gun possession and unlawful use of a weapon, according to ABC 7.

Further proving his non-dangerous nature he told the cops that he is a “warrior” and that the “streets would run red with blood” when he was arrested, NBC Chicago reported.

At his arraignment Saturday a judge disagreed with Franklin’s assessment and declared the defendant “dangerous” while ordering him held without bail.
