An Alabama toddler is lucky to be alive today, after jumping from a burning building into the safe arms of spectators below.
In pulse-pounding video that captured the harrowing scene, people screamed as they instructed the 3-year-old boy to jump from an apartment engulfed in flames, according to Fox News.
“Your momma right here,” one man yelled. “Your momma say do it.”
“Everybody in the community came together and helped,” Kerry Jackson, who took the video, said of the Christmas Day fire, which officials say was caused by food left unattended on a hot stove.
Two adults and four children were injured, including the little boy in the video. The toddler remains in the intensive care unit, according to Fox News.
