A grouchy traveler snapped and got thrown off a plane Tuesday after one too many American Airlines employees wished him a ‘Merry Christmas.’

The man became incensed at the greeting from members of the flight crew as he was setting out on a trip from New York’s La Guardia airport en route to Dallas.

It started as he was preparing to board the plane.

That’s when a gate agent had the audacity to say “Merry Christmas” to the curmudgeon, according to the New York Post.

“You shouldn’t say that because not everyone celebrates Christmas,” he told the agent.

“Well, what should I say then?” the agent responded.

“Don’t say, ‘Merry Christmas!” he yelled back according tom the Post.

When he got on the plane the assault on his sensibilities continued.

A flight attendant dared to welcome him with “Merry Christmas” sending the grinch into a frenzy.

“Don’t say, ‘Merry Christmas!’” the man shouted before launching into a tirade and lecturing the crew on the horrors of saying the phrase.

The crew’s efforts to calm the irate traveler down were to no avail, according to the Post.

The man was removed from the aircraft to the cheers and applause of other passengers.

Talk about a Scrooge.
