High journalist can’t report on burning pile of drugs without laughing incessantly

BBC Middle East correspondent Quentin Sommerville could barely finish this report because he got a little high standing too close to an enormous load of burning drugs.

Sommerville reported that he was standing in front of an ignited eight-and-a-half tons of heroin, hashish, opium and other narcotics. The pile behind him seems a little small for 17,000 pounds of anything and he starts giggling immediately afterwards, so maybe that was a little drug-induced exaggeration.

Hilarity ensues as he tries to finish his report. Just as a British accent makes everything seem more important, a giggling Brit makes everything funnier.

The good-natured Sommerville posted the video to his YouTube page as a “Christmas present” to his Twitter followers.
