“Exodus: Gods and Kings,” the new blockbuster at the cinemas, won the weekend box office, but it’s seems it’s been a critical flop. Rotten Tomatoes (1 1/2 stars) has it at just 28 percent (1 percent ahead of Dumb and Dumber Too), and the movie has been criticized for not being diverse.
Glenn Beck, the radio host and founder of the conservative website The Blaze, had a different set of complaints.
“I’m offended. I’m deeply offended that you are taking a prophet of the Lord, one of the most humble men of all-time, and you’re making him an al-Qaeda member,” Beck said.
Beck, used his radio show to explain in detail why he thinks this movie is dangerous and another Hollywood Bible-based “Noah” was better — even though he hated “Noah.”
Beck’s biggest problem with the movie “Noah” was that he thought of Noah as a prophet of God, gentle and kind, but that wasn’t what he saw in the movie. “Homicidal maniac” was the description Beck used in his review of Paramount-produced film. When you watch him compare the two movies and come to the conclusion “Noah” was better, you’ll understand just had badly he hated “Exodus: Gods and Kings” after the first 20 minutes.
From the moment “Hollywood” gained power it began to strip away our values and we allowed it. The first curse word on film was in Gone With the Wind..and also gone was any sense of morals. They changed the way we look at everything really.
Who didn’t walk out of a movie as a child, after watching some really awesome movie with good guys and bad guys and super heroes, and feels almost invincible? The brainwashing gets us very early and very young and we just simply go along with it.
It’s very hard for anyone in Hollywood to have the vision to make a biblical movie using the scriptures if they don’t believe in the story. Remember, the Democrat Party booed God when he was added back to their platform.
I refuse to give these idiots, who make the Bible out to be a joke, any more of my money.
