An identified gunman killed his ex-wife in the start of a shooting rampage that claimed at least four other lives, according to neighbors of the dead woman and news reports.
The roughly three-hour standoff came to an end when a SWAT team stormed a home in Souderton, Montgomery County, Pa., where the gunman was holed up, first tossing a “flash” grenade and then entering, according to WPVI News Team.

Police first became aware of his actions just before 4 a.m. Monday, following a 911 call reporting a woman shot dead, sources told WPVI.
Two more people were found killed half an hour later, according to the station, and another two people were found slain in Souderton just before the gunman barricaded himself inside the home around 9 a.m.
All five victims were reportedly shot at close range.
Children who may have witnessed at least one of the killings have been found safe, reported WPVI.
