Hey libs, Santa’s got a gun! Gun range offers family pictures with pistol-packing Kringle

A gun club’s combination of Santa and the Second Amendment is aiming to collect canned foods for the needy this Christmas season, but the usual gun-grabbers are griping.

The Sandy Springs Gun Club and Range in Sandy Springs, Ga., is hosting an event Saturday for families to have their pictures taken with Santa with an AK-47, AR-15 or FN-SCAR-17, according to WSBTV.

Not your normal Santa scene, but harmless enough, right? And since participants are being asked to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to a local food bank, it’s downright charitable.

Not everyone thinks so.

While it’s true that every anonymous person has every cowardly right to ridicule the family lives of people they’ve never met, calling a Christmas event to raise onations for charity “sickening” or “sad” is a little over the top.

And questioning a stranger’s parenting skills because you don’t like their politics is beyond the pale.

But the best response came from gun club member Bret Ciaranella, who told the station:

“It’s for a good cause. It’s for charity so I don’t see any problem with it whatsoever. If somebody doesn’t want to bring their kid here, just don’t.”

Imagine that?
