Angry Bald Dude: Cynical Obama plays the race card to cover his tracks

Angry Bald Dude

On his ambitious national tour of TV and live appearances, President Obama is talking about racism in America as if Jim Crow is the law of the land.

If you didn’t know any better, you’d think white officers systematically hunt and kill black youths and that the death rate of young black males would plummet if we could only get police under control.

The problem with the president’s mantra is that none of it is based on fact.

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly cited recent FBI statistics that represent a staggeringly different picture from the one Obama is promoting.

In 2012, for example, 326 whites were shot and killed by police, while 123 blacks met the same fate, according to the numbers O’Reilly cited, though only a fraction of police agencies report such numbers to the FBI.

Even more startling are 2013 statistics that show white people committed 4,396 murders, while blacks were responsible for 5,375, according to O’Reilly – all the more troubling when you remember that whites account for 63 percent of the population, while blacks make up a mere 13 percent. Such numbers show why many agencies have beefed up police presence in predominantly black areas. They also may put in broader perspective the reason  blacks are more likely than whites to be targeted in controversial stops

The president has to know these numbers. So it’s all the more outrageous that he’s out there shouting from the rooftops that America is an unfair and racist nation that doesn’t give black people a fair shake. Then again, consider how this façade is helping his administration.

The dual grand jury decisions that found no police misconduct in the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., and Eric Garner in Staten Island, N.Y., couldn’t have come at any better time for Obama.

The decisions came hot on the heels of the president’s decision to award amnesty for 5 million illegal aliens — a story that topped every news broadcast at the time. After the riots started in Ferguson, the amnesty controversy all but disappeared.

Also lost among all the racial injustice talk is the administration’s decision to release six Guantanamo Bay detainees and deliver them into the hands of Uruguay officials.

The protests also drowned out Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber’s admissions outing the miserable health care law as a tax and calling Americans stupid for falling for the ruse.

These were all major scandals, swept under the rug by salacious reporting of non-existent attacks on black Americans.

The timing was perfect for America’s first black president, and he is going to milk them for all they’re worth.
