Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber, who denies that he is the architect, went before the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday with hat in hand to apologize for calling American voters stupid.
Gruber said he was sorry for his “glib, thoughtless and sometimes downright insulting comments,” but the non-politician managed to pull this off while being glib. And he must still believe Congress is stupid because he was spinning like a well versed politician, when he could remember anything at all.
“Were ALL of your prior statements a lie?” U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., asked at one point.
All of the theatrics prompted country music icon Charlie Daniels to remark on Twitter that, unlike Ahnold, Gruber has “total unrecall.” And with that comment, the merriment began. Here are a few samples of the responses, as seen on Twitter.
