Conservative-mocking comedian Stephen Colbert got in one attention-grabbing zinger while hosting the Kennedy Center Honors in D.C. Sunday night.
Colbert, whose arch commentary on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” has given millions of college kids the wrong impression of what conservatives really are, said first lady Michelle Obama must not be planning to run for office since she’s one of the few Democrats in America willing to be seen in public with the president.
Reporters at the scene tweeted the joke, but we’ll have to wait until the airing of the show on Dec. 30 to find out if the rest of us will get to hear it.
The president’s grin had to be broad, but you can bet those big ears burned.
