“Saturday Night Live’s” Kenan Thompson put on a biting parody of race-baiting Rev. Al Sharpton on Saturday, and Sharpton’s exploitation of a State Island grand jury decision to not indict a police officer in the July death of a man selling illegal cigarettes.
Regardless of whether you think the grand jury’s call was the right one or simply baffling, given the evidence in the Eric Garner case, Thompson’s portrayal of the pompous civil rights shyster from New York was mockingly accurate – right down to the self-serving selfie.
