Garner’s daughter says dad’s death not a racial issue; Don Lemon baffled

The grievance industry on the left is having a field day denouncing a grand jury’s decision not to indict a New York City cop who placed Eric Garner in a choke hold, leading to his untimely death, pointing to the case as another example of racial injustice in America by police.

Surprisingly, one person does not think race was an issue — Garner’s daughter.

“This is not a black and white issue,” Erica Garner said Thursday during an appearance on CNN. “This is a national crisis.”

Host Don Lemon followed up, more than once, asking Garner if she was sure it was not about race.

“I really doubt it. It was about the officer’s pride,” she answered. “It was about my father being 6’4″ and 350 pounds and he wants to be the top cop that brings a big man down.”
