Columnist Charles Krauthammer said that while the media continues to focus on a divide within the Republican Party, the real civil war is happening in the Democratic Party.
“I do think that the press keeps trying to repeat the meme that the great civil war story here is among Republicans […] the real story is the split among the Democrats,” Krauthammer said Tuesday on Fox News’ “Special Report.”
He pointed out that U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer represents one side of the split, and U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren represents the other, with Hillary Clinton in the middle — who Krauthammer said “can’t make up her mind on anything.”
“The civil war is happening in there, they are looking at the shellacking, and one wing is saying we have to go left, the other right,” he concluded.
