A Republican Louisiana state senator is accusing a prominent Democrat mayor with strong ties to Democrat Sen. Mary Landrieu of encouraging voter fraud.
And he’s got the video to prove it.
In an advertisement released by the Black Conservatives Fund, state Sen. Elbery Guillery showed Opelousas, La., Mayor Don Cravins urging his audience at a private campaign rally to vote twice in the Nov. 5 midterms.
Captured on video, Cravins clearly directs, “If you early voted, go vote again tomorrow.”
Guillory noted that although Cravins is not yet a “household name,” his son, Don Cravins Jr., happens to be chief of staff for Louisiana’s embattled Landrieu.
So Guillory posed this question. “Why urge people to commit voter fraud?”
The answer is the quote of the day:
Democrats like Mary Landrieu and President Obama have no record of accomplishment to show black voters … Let me correct that. The Democrats have no record of accomplishment to show any voters, which is why they were so roundly defeated in the midterm elections across America. So Mr. Cravins has to suggest to this crowd of Democrats that they vote twice.”
The Black Conservatives Fund has turned this video over to the Louisiana Attorney General’s office, the Louisiana Secretary of State’s office and the FBI.
God bless America.
