Stunning visual of special Twitter activity map as grand jury made announcement

With the advent of social media, the way America gets its news has drastically changed.

A reality that was brought to life in a visual posted by “The Daily Signal” that shows the reaction on Twitter to the news that a grand jury did not indict police Officer Darren Wilson in the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.

The announcement came just after 9 p.m. EST, and a map of the United States lit up like the night sky on the Fourth of July as it shows mentions of #Ferguson and “Ferguson.”

The time covers the minutes leading up to the announcement and as violence begins to erupt in Ferguson, according to reporter Melissa Quinn.

A sight to behold.
