A car plowed right through a crowd of protesters in Minneapolis Tuesday afternoon, hitting several of them and running over one woman’s leg.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that the driver of the car honked repeatedly before moving forward. The angry activists immediately swarmed the vehicle, forcing the man to continue driving.
The unidentified man is cooperating with the police after escaping the mob.
The crowd had grown to more than 1,000 after the decision was announced late Monday that Ferguson, Mo., police Officer Darren Wilson would not be indicted in the Michael Brown shooting, the Star Tribune reported.

Witnesses say that the woman’s leg was caught under the car. She’s being wheeled into an ambulance.

Moments after the woman was struck, a dozen demonstrators pounced on the hood of the vehicle, while others tried to free the victim.
