WH spokesman: President thinks being called ‘Emperor Obama’ is a ‘badge of honor’

Well, this explains a lot.

At a news conference Wednesday, White House mouthpiece Josh Earnest told reporters the administration laughs at criticisms from GOP lawmakers that President Obama is behaving lawlessly, and said the president even wears the insult “Emperor Obama” as a “badge of honor.”

We’ve heard this kind of rhetoric about lawlessness from House Republicans for some time. I know their most recent statement referred to ‘Emperor Obama,’” Earnest said. “The president is somebody who is willing to examine the law, review the law, and use every element of that law to make progress for the American people. And if that is something Republicans are critical of, that’s maybe a criticism that the president wears with a badge of honor, I think.”

Anybody else notice that Earnest never said the president “enforces the law” or “obeys the law”?

Nope. “Emperor” is a badge of honor that suits him just fine.

Actually, it doesn’t explain a lot. It explains everything.
