Al Sharpton, America’s foremost race hustler, owes more than $4.5 million in state and federal tax liens.
A New York Times feature published on Tuesday reported that Sharpton “has regularly sidestepped the sorts of obligations most people see as inevitable, like taxes, rent and other bills.”
The Times reported:
With the tax liability outstanding, Mr. Sharpton traveled first class and collected a sizable salary, the kind of practice by nonprofit groups that the United States Treasury’s inspector general for tax administration recently characterized as “abusive,” or “potentially criminal” if the failure to turn over or collect taxes is willful.
And while it’s not surprising that Sharpton is a likely tax cheat, it is surprising that his “potentially criminal” behavior does not deter the president of the United States from regularly rubbing elbows with him.
Or the governor of New York.
“I’ve been able to reach from the streets to the suites,” the alleged Reverend said at his 60th birthday/fundraiser event.
The mayor of New York City could also be included on that list, but when it comes to expectations, the bar is not set very high for Mayor Bill de Blasio.
Speaking of low expectations, Sharpton’s actions also do not preclude him being given a national platform by MSNBC to spew his racial animosity under the guise of civil rights.
Only in America.
And while the progressive left continues to be badger the U.S. with the myth of white supremacy, the realities of black privilege in America today is personified in all its glory by the likes of the charlatan known as Al Sharpton.
