Best man confronts buddy’s wife in the act of cheating; posts video on Internet

Thanks to technology and the Internet, the dark and tangled web of cheating on a spouse or significant other can easily become a public spectacle.

Witness the case of the cheating wife, known as Nina, whose suspicious husband sent the best man from their wedding to go spy on her, as reported by news.com.au.

What followed was not just a confirmation of the husband’s fears, for Nina was certainly found in the company of another man. But new to this generation of cheaters and Nina is the public excoriation after getting caught.

The best man filmed Nina’s shameful moment and, together with her angry husband, posted it on the Internet for the world to see. According to news.com.au, The video quickly elicited almost 4,000 comments, with most viewers expressing disgust at Nina’s behavior.

The fact that there were 4,000 comments to Nina’s published infidelity is voyeurism and judgment in its purest form.

While some criticism was directed at the husband and best man for their online humiliation of Nina, this is not the first such incident of public infidelity, and it certainly won’t be the last.

In the days of lesser technology, Monica Lewinsky had to save a dress to prove Bill’s infidelity — and today even she complains about the negative publicity that followed her.

Betrayed spouses and significant others can harm each other in ways never thought possible before technology invaded the bedroom. The Internet contains pictorial and video wreckage of intimate relationships, the subject of which was once a private matter. Viewers today feel the need to watch and then comment on shattered lives.

Which is worse? The cheating or the humiliation? Sound off.
