She was just too good to be true.
“Duck Dynasty” darling Sadie Robertson wowed the judges Monday on “Dancing with the Stars,” scoring a perfect 40 with partner Mark Ballas and a guest dancer who played Sadie’s rival for Mark’s affections.
“That was the best trio of the night … fantastic!” judge Len Goodman said. “I wish I had an 11 paddle!”
The performance was all the more remarkable because it was a comeback of sorts. The couple’s first dance of the night was a jive routine that went over well with the audience but only scored 33 out of a possible 40 with the judges.
Things were different the second time around – when “You’re Just too Good to be True” proved to be Sadie’s ideal vehicle.
“Movie star stunning,” judge Bruno Tonioli gushed. “I couldn’t tell who was the professional!”
Well, the professional wasn’t crying at the score, but Sadie was. It was partly out of relief, she said.
“I kind of forgot the last part,” she said. “So I had to make up my own little dance at the end.”
