Fed-up Chick-fil-A manager makes list of banned slang; forces employees to speak proper English

This Chick-fil-A manager is fed up.

Frustrated with restaurant employees who refuse to use standard English, the manager posted a list of slang words he prohibits his staff from using on pain of losing their meal privileges.

According to the Daily Mail, the list was compiled by a manager named Eric and posted on the social networking site Reddit, apparently by one of Eric’s employees who noted, “I work at Chick-fil-a and Eric, our manager, is tired of our s***.”

Boy is he.

Heading the list is the command: “You will speak properly when you walk through these doors.”

At the end is an admonition: “You are a professional so speak professionally.”

Pretty good advice for anyone wanting to work for a living. Now, it’s great advice for people working at a certain Chick-fil-A.

The Reddit post didn’t give the store’s location, but there’s one way to find out. Just walk into the nearest Chick-fil-A.

If you hear slang, ask for Eric.
